What's coming to Octave: new features, improvements, and upcoming functionalities

The team behind Octave is working hard! We have a lot of great news to share about what has been improved, what we are currently working on, and what is coming in the next few months. Here is a complete overview of the app's evolution.
Octave Studio: list templates created for you
One of the most exciting new features currently in development is Octave Studio — a platform that will allow the team to create all sorts of list templates directly accessible within the app.
Natacha, our magazine editor and content creator, will be dedicated to converting our hundreds of little tips into interactive, ready-to-use lists. But that's not all: we also plan to collaborate with popular family influencers so they can share their menus, plans, and routines directly in Octave. A great project whose details we can't wait to reveal to you!
The free Station plan is now live
You may have noticed: a new free Station plan is now available, and it is much more permissive than the free mobile plan. This is completely normal — if you have purchased a station, we want you to be able to use it fully, at no additional cost. Consult all available plans directly on our website to learn more.
Recent fixes and improvements
We have used the past few weeks to fix a few bugs that were affecting the daily experience, including:
- Tasks without dates: they now display correctly.
- Multi-day events: their display has been reviewed and improved.
Subtle adjustments, but ones that make a real difference in the fluidity of daily use!
What we're currently working on
We are currently in our busiest sprint to date. Here's a preview of the features coming very soon:
- The task list screen by person — as you've seen in our ads.
- Automatic task expiration — an uncompleted task will automatically be marked "undone" after the chosen delay.
- Task duplication and postponement — to save even more time!
- Drag and drop — to easily reorganize your tasks, lists, and folders.
- A new look for task and event cards — with the ability to integrate links and photos.
- New list templates ready to use upon launch!
And after? Artificial intelligence is coming!
Once these features are delivered, the team will focus on integrating artificial intelligence into Octave, notably with a chatbot and a dictaphone function. We'll tell you more very soon — but we can already say that this is a step that will change the way you interact with the application!
While waiting for the view by person: our current tip
Are you eagerly awaiting the new task view by person? Here's a workaround that works very well in the meantime:
- Add and modify your recurring tasks in your list folders, making sure to assign them a date and a family member.
- Then consult your tasks in the time view: Overdue, Today, This Week, Next Week.
- For example, create the plan for routines and household chores in your list folders. Each day, children only need to click on "Today", select their photo or avatar, and consult their personal tasks for the current day.
Simple, effective, and already available!
