
Broccoli Polpettes
Ground beef meatballs cleverly concealing finely chopped carrots and broccoli in an Italian-flavored tomato sauce... The perfect, comforting meal the whole family will love!

Ingredients
- 1 cup finely chopped broccoli (with a knife or in a food processor)
- 1 large carrot, finely grated
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 beaten egg
- ¼ cup plain breadcrumbs
- Salt and pepper from the mill, to taste
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Tomato sauce
- 2 cloves garlic, chopped
- 1 tbsp Italian seasoning (or your favorite spices)
- 1 can (680ml) tomato sauce (or more to taste)

Preparation
- Preheat oven to 375ºF.
- In a large bowl, mix all the ingredients for the meatballs except the oil. Shape into balls about 2 tbsp. in size. Set aside.
- In a deep ovenproof skillet over medium-high heat, heat the oil and brown the meatballs for five minutes, turning them regularly. Add all the sauce ingredients. Cover and bake for 30 minutes.
- Serve over buttered pasta.
