6 gifts your child's teacher will genuinely love
04 December, 2025
While most teachers agree that a gift is absolutely not necessary, it's normal to want to thank them for all their hard work since September by offering them even a small token of appreciation. And because it can sometimes be difficult to find what they'll truly appreciate, here are a few suggestions from the majority of teachers we consulted!
A little note
First and foremost, take the time to write a short note to express your gratitude. Why not have your child draw on the card? If you're short on time or drawing isn't your children's favorite activity, opt for one of these beautiful creations instead!
The famous gift card
It's unanimous: teachers are always happy to receive a gift card, which allows them to treat themselves to something they're sure to enjoy! Whether it's from the SAQ, a bookstore, or the local coffee shop, you're almost certain not to go wrong!
A bottle of wine (or olive oil!)
For many people, a carefully chosen bottle of wine is always appreciated. If you know the recipient doesn't drink alcohol, opt for a bottle of quality olive oil instead, which will certainly find its place in the kitchen.
For gourmands
Of course, teachers generally receive a lot of them, but gourmet treats are usually always appreciated. Chocolates from an artisanal chocolatier, cookies from the local bakery, or a pot of creamy caramel, there's no shortage of ideas!
A touch of greenery
While it's possible that your child's teacher may not have a green thumb, an easy-to-care-for plant, or even an herb plant, is a great gift option that the recipient can choose to place in their classroom or living room.
Stationery
If there's one thing teachers use regularly, it's stationery! Opt for original and more expensive items that they wouldn't dare to buy themselves. You'll find a whole selection right here!
