The Les Belles Combines weekly family planner: the perfect tool for sound time management!

When the house fills up with little people and there are several schedules to juggle, there's no other choice: you have to get organized to orchestrate it all. To balance work and family, we have to learn to manage our own time AND everyone else's effectively!

Les Belles Combines created a very handy weekly planning tool that's every bit as pretty (okay, fine, we didn't reinvent the wheel, but our planner has a little “design” touch all its own!). This tool lets you gather all the relevant information in one place so you can see at a glance what the coming week looks like. You jot down the week's meals, everyone's activities and appointments, the parents' household chores and the kids' “little missions”. Finally, we also made room for weekend projects, personal notes and things to add to the grocery list. In short, it should put an end to the “you never told me!,” “I didn't know!” and “what's for dinner?” problems. It spares us a ton of misunderstandings (like the day the Passe-Partout (pre-kindergarten) teacher called my house to ask whether someone was coming to pick up my little Louis, since class had been over for several minutes. I can't tell you how embarrassed I was.).A little educational plus
To give it an educational touch, we've set aside a little space for a “Word of the Week.” Write in a quote, a new vocabulary word or a value that's important to your family!A tip from our house
By giving my kids “little missions” (use our Magnétos chore magnets made for this purpose and perfectly compatible with the planner!), I'm starting to teach them responsibility by getting them involved in the household chores. Presented this way, chores take on a playful quality and almost seem like a game. You should see my two little sparrows, ages three and four, dusting or matching up socks while listening to the theme music from the movie Mission: Impossible! When the kids pitch in, balancing work and family gets easier.
