pita pizza
Ingredients
- 4 large pita breads
- 125 ml (½ cup) sun-dried tomato pesto
- 1 can 540 ml black beans, rinsed and drained
- 2 chopped green onions
- 1 container (200g) of well-drained mini bocconcini
- 30 ml (2 tbsp.) olive oil
- Salt and pepper from the mill
Path to follow
- Preheat the oven to 400F.
- Place the pitas on a non-stick baking sheet or one lined with parchment paper.
- Spread pesto on each bun and garnish with black beans.
- Add green onions and mini bocconcini.
- Bake for 15 minutes or until bocconcini is melted.
- Drizzle with olive oil, salt and pepper to taste.
For adventurers
Add 30 ml (2 tablespoons) of fresh basil just before serving.
