  • Ingredients

    • 125 ml (½ cup) butter, at room temperature
    • 180 ml (¾ cup) brown sugar
    • 1 egg
    • 250 ml (1 cup) all-purpose flour
    • 250 ml (1 cup) oatmeal
    • 5 ml (1 tsp) baking powder
    • 1 ml (¼ tsp) baking soda
    • 125 ml (½ cup) raisins
  • Preparation

    1. Preheat oven to 375F.
    2. In a bowl, using an electric mixer, cream the butter and brown sugar, add the egg and mix well.
    3. In another bowl, mix the dry ingredients.
    4. Add dry ingredients to wet mixture and form into a ball; add butter if needed.
    5. Place the ball on a cookie sheet and flatten into a ½-inch-thick disk.
    6. Bake on top rack for 12 minutes or until golden brown. Break to serve.
