Creamy Chocolate Bites
Ingredients
- 375 ml (1½ cups) flour
- 45 ml (3 tbsp.) cocoa
- 5 ml (1 tsp) baking powder
- 1 pinch of salt
- 2 eggs
- 125 ml (½ cup) sugar
- 60 ml (¼ cup) softened butter
- A few drops of vanilla essence
- 60 ml (¼ cup) chocolate chips
- ½ pack of 250 g cream cheese, cut into small ½ cm x ½ cm dice
Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 375F.
- In a bowl, combine the flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt.
- In another bowl, using an electric mixer, beat the eggs, sugar, butter and vanilla. Add the dry ingredients and mix with a wooden spoon until a homogeneous mixture is obtained.
- Add the chocolate chips and mix again.
- Form balls using about 20 ml (1½ tablespoons) of preparation.
- Using your thumb, dig a cavity in the center of each ball, then place a cube of cream cheese in it. Bring the mixture back over the cream cheese to close the cavity.
- Place the balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 15 minutes.
For adventurers
Replace the chocolate chips with the same amount of caramel chips.
