Do you hate throwing away food? We do too! That's why we thought we'd offer you this recipe that's not only simple, but will also allow you to use up all your leftover vegetables and meats and is sure to please the whole family!

Freezes for 3 months

  • Ingredients

    • 2 large sweet potatoes, peeled and cut into small cubes of 1cm x 1cm
    • 450 g (1 lb) leftover cooked meat
    • 2 cups (500 ml) cooked vegetables
    • 1 cup (250 ml) grated cheese
    • 1 tbsp (15 ml) smoked paprika
    • Salt and pepper from the mill
  • Preparation

    1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
    2. In a saucepan, bring water to a boil and cook potatoes for 20 minutes or until tender. Drain and mash with a potato masher. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Set aside.
    3. In a rectangular mold, place the leftover cooked meat, the leftover cooked vegetables and finish with the sweet potato puree.
    4. Sprinkle with grated cheese and smoked paprika and bake for 30 minutes or until all ingredients are heated through and cheese is melted.
