Dry muffin mix

  • Ingredients

    In a 500 ml Mason jar, place:

    • 6 cups all-purpose flour
    • 6 tsp baking powder
    • 6 tsp baking soda
    • 3 cups oatmeal
    • 3 cups brown sugar
    • 3 cups dried cranberries (or other dried fruit or chocolate chips)

    To add to the dry mix:

    • 1 beaten egg
    • 1/4 cup canola oil
    • 1/2 cup milk
  • Preparation

    1. Place all your Mason jars on the work surface, stuck together.
    2. Using a jar funnel, spoon the flour into all the jars.
    3. Then add the baking powder to all the jars.
    4. Repeat the same thing with the baking soda, oatmeal, brown sugar and finish with the cranberries. Press the ingredients well into the jars, they will be full to the brim.
    5. Stick the instructions on each pot and place in your storage.

    Instructions for use to stick on the pots:

    For 9 muffins

    To complete the recipe, simply add:

    1. 1 beaten egg
    2. ¼ cup canola oil
    3. ½ cup milk
    4. Preheat oven to 375F. In a bowl, mix egg, oil and milk, add contents of mason jar and mix well.
    5. Oil a muffin pan or use muffin cases. Divide the mixture into 9 compartments.
    6. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center of a muffin comes out clean.
