Oat and raisin bread
Ingredients
- 60 ml (¼ cup) tempered butter
- 180 ml (¾ cup) brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 125 m (½ cup) of water
- 375 ml (1½ cups) all-purpose flour
- 125 ml (½ cup) rolled oats
- 5 ml (1 tsp) baking powder
- 1 ml (¼ tsp) baking soda
- 125 ml (½ cup) raisins
- Your favorite dessert spices (nutmeg, cinnamon, cardamom, etc.)
Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 375F.
- In a bowl, using an electric mixer, cream the butter and brown sugar. Add eggs, water and mix well.
- In another bowl, combine the dry ingredients.
- Add dry ingredients to wet mixture; add water as needed.
- Spoon the mixture into a nonstick loaf pan and bake for 40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center of the loaf comes out clean.

Replace the water with cream.
