bread and fruit pudding
Ingredients
- 5 slices of bread, cut into 1 cm x 1 cm dice
- ½ tsp. tea (3 ml) cinnamon
- ¼ cup (60ml) sugar
- 2 cups (500 mL) fresh or frozen berries
- ¼ cup (60 mL) brown sugar
- ½ cup (125ml) milk
- 1 egg
- 1 C. tea (5 ml) vanilla extract
Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 375°F. In a large bowl, combine the bread, cinnamon and sugar, set aside.
- In another bowl, combine the berries and brown sugar, set aside. In another bowl, whisk the milk, egg and vanilla. Gently mix the 3 preparations. Place in a rectangular non-stick baking pan. Bake for about 30 minutes.
For adventurers:
Add ½ cup (125 mL) chocolate chips before placing in baking pan.
