Reinventing Back to School: Strategies for Getting Back into the Rhythm Smoothly

As the new school year approaches, many people approach this time of year with an irrepressible desire to adopt new habits , too often with excessive expectations that lead to disappointment.

To ease the pressure, be sure to adopt a gradual approach to integrating these new habits and instead focus on introspection, realistic planning and co-creating a harmonious return to school with your family . Avoid overloading your days with preparation and shopping, and take the time to gradually introduce new habits.

Here's the four-step process to get there:

Introspection : take some time to think about going back to school, write down ideas and concerns.

Ideation : Give yourself time to explore possibilities and get inspired, but limit this time to avoid spreading it out over several days

Co-creation : discuss with the family the expectations and concerns for the start of the school year, and integrate their ideas into the planning

Action : define and implement an action plan adapted to the needs and pace of the family

Above all, avoid perfection on the first day and adopt a calm and flexible attitude . It is therefore important to build a routine in an intentional and coherent way with each person's reality , the path being as important as the destination. Finally, take the time to observe and enjoy the process rather than focusing only on execution and control.
